For Patricio “Pato” Saiz (1973) the most important part of writing has always been creating stories that evoke emotion in the viewer.

He has written several movies and series such as: “Nosotros Los Nobles”, “Como Cortar a Tu Patron”, “Run Coyote Run”. The characters and universes he has created have been adapted to other languages in other countries such as: “Chasing Life”, “Belli di Papa” and “Malcriados”. He has also received several awards and recognitions for his work like a nomination for the Ariel awards and an invitation to write with Jean Claude Carriere, the legendary screenwriter of Luis Buñuel. His writing specialty lies in the genres of comedy, horror and thriller. He studied industrial engineering at the UNAM, screenwriting at the CCC and he also took the first joint screenwriting course from Imcine and UCLA with Jackie Zambrano.

He is one of the most known screenwriting professors in Mexico’s most prominent film schools and teaches outside the country. Year after year he is hired as a script doctor or writes in many of Mexico’s most noted film and television productions. He is one of the founding members of Entrelineas.
