Elena Torres is an actress and writer raised in Mexico, born to a Spanish father and an American mother. After graduating from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles with degrees in acting and film, she worked as a reporter and journalist for MTV News Los Angeles. There, she began writing articles for mtvnews.com and interviewing music, film, and television celebrities.
In 2010, Elena returned to Mexico to begin an acting career in Televisa telenovelas, starting with the major hit: “Teresa”. Her roles continued to grow in importance in the telenovelas “La Que No Podía Amar” and “Por Siempre Mi Amor”. Then, in 2015, when Entrelienas was formed, Elena joined the team, specializing in the U.S. Latino Market.
Since 2016, Elena has dedicated herself to comedy, both in writing and acting. Elena performs Stand Up Comedy shows in New York, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. She also has a sketch page on Facebook, “Human Factor Comedy,” where she writes, produces, and acts in short comedy sketches. Finally, Elena continues to write comedy scripts with Entrelienas, specializing in the U.S. Latino Market.
