Elena Torres is an actress, writer and comedian raised in Mexico by a Spanish father and American mother. After graduation from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles with a major in Theatre and a minor in Cinema-Television, Elena worked as a writer and reporter for MTV News in Los Angeles. Here is where she began her writing career, writing articles for mtvnews.com and interviewing celebrities in music, film and television.

In 2010 Elena returned to Mexico to begin acting in Televisa/Univision telenovelas, starting with the smash hit “Teresa”. In 2011 Elena was named the “Best New Face” of telenovelas that year. Her roles continued to grow in the telenovelas “La Que No Podia Amar” and “Por Siempre Mi Amor”.

In 2015 Elena joined the Entrelineas team, specializing in screenwriting for the Latin market in the United States.
In 2016 Elena began pursuing stand up comedy along with her acting and writing. Elena regularly performs at comedy clubs in Los Angeles, New York City and Washington D.C. She also has a sketch comedy page on Facebook called “Human Factor Comedy” where she regularly writes, directs produces and stars in short form web comedy sketches.
